I-75 northbound at 7 Mile reopens after serious accident

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Northbound I-75 has reopened at 7 Mile Road after being closed for hours after a traffic accident.

A picture from the scene showed both a mangled sedan and semi truck sitting on the shoulder of the road. Officers say the semi hit the overpass.

Police say the injured man was the driver of the semi. He is reportedly in critical condition. No one else was hurt.

Michigan State Police say one person is in critical condition following the accident.

Police say the accident involved four vehicles and affected all lanes of the freeway.

Two people were arrested at the scene. Police say they had outstanding traffic warrants and suspended driver's licenses.
