FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in the case of a shooting outside a Ferndale school.
According to police, a student was shot in the leg on Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of the Taft Alternative Education Center.
The incident forced all nearby schools to go into lockdown.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. Tracking dogs found a shell casing in a nearby backyard, but were unable to locate the suspect.
So far it’s not clear what prompted the man to open fire.
