Southfield High School Alumni Picnic and Mix & Mingle reunites high school classmates, Aug. 4 - 5

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) -  

Each summer the alumni of a local high school host a two-day reunion and this weekend they plan to do it better than ever.

Alumni of Southfield High School are invited to the 10th Annual Southfield High School Alumni Picnic and Mix & Mingle 2012 this weekend to reunite with old high school friends and classmates.

Saturday’s Mix & Mingle will take place at Cascades Catering and Banquet Hall at 29155 W. Seven Mile Road in Livonia.  Any alumni who are 21 and up are welcome to enjoy the night from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Mix & Mingle will be followed by a Sunday picnic beginning at 11 a.m. and lasting throughout the day. The picnic will be held at the Southfield Civic Center 26000 Evergreen Road in Southfield. 

Alumni and family are welcome to the picnic, which will feature an old school vs. new school softball game. Classes of ’83 and older will team up to battle a team of later years in nine innings of softball.

More games and activities are planned for the picnic.
