AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Thousands of fans at the Van's Warped Tour were forced to take refuge inside the Palace of Auburn Hills when severe thunderstorms moved through Oakland County this evening.
Photos and video on Twitter and Instagram showed fans waiting out the storms in the stadium's seats.
Palace officials tweeted to say, "Warped Tour will resume on the Palace grounds when the weather subsides."
Sure enough, just after 7:00 p.m., another tweet from the Palace confirmed that the show was back on.
The festival was taking place outside the Palace which is also home to the Detroit Pistons.
Bands scheduled to perform at the Warped Tour include Sleeping With Sirens, We Came As Romans, Motion City Soundtrack, The Wonder Years, Bring Me The Horizon, Reel Big Fish, Crown The Empire, and The Story So Far.
