AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Dozens of drivers were stopped along I-75 in Auburn Hills during a targeted enforcement detail.
The Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team, better known as SOCCIT, pulled over 43 drivers during a four-hour stretch along I-75 between 14 mile Road and Baldwin.
Officers say 30 citations were given, including two drivers who were going 104 mph in a 70 mph zone.
The task force is comprised of officers from Troy, Bloomfield Township and Auburn Hills police departments. SOCCIT was awarded $5,000 by the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police for its collaboration efforts.
The money was used to pay for today’s traffic enforcement and another one that is planned in September.
