FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Metro Detroit is losing an old friend.
The Family Buggy is closing its doors after 44-years in business. The Buggy is loved for its home cooking, real mashed potatoes and family atmosphere.
The owners say the economy is the culprit just as it has been in the past. The Detroit location closed in 1986 and locations in Rochester Hills and Livonia have also since closed.
Friends, ex-employees and well wishers lined up around the building to get a final taste of Buggy and say goodbye to the staff and the owner.
The Family Buggy will close at 9:00 pm on Sunday, January 9 th.
