TROY (WXYZ) - Troy Police arrested a man who calls himself "Santa Claus" after a homeowner says the suspect broke into her home.

On Sunday, a female homeowner in Troy reports she awoke to find a strange man in her home. When she asked him who he was, the suspect responded, "Santa Claus."

The suspect then grabbed a set of keys and left the home. Police believe he entered through an unlocked door.

Later in the day, officers located a person matching the description of a "white male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt," near a bus stop on Maple Road. The suspect fled on foot when approached but was later located and arrested.

He was found to be in violation of his parole.
