Two Farmington School District schools on alert for a second day

FARMINGTON, Mich. (WXYZ) - On Friday police will be on alert at two Farmington schools for a second day in a row.
This comes after 7 Action News learned that Gill Elementary and Power Upper Elementary school were on lockdown for most of Thursday.
The schools were placed on a precautionary lockdown after a phone threat because they are on the same campus.
A school spokesperson tells 7 Action News that an agitated caller made reference to the Trayvon Martin case in Florida.
The 17-year-old was coming home from the store after buying Skittles and a drink, when he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain.
Zimmerman claims he shot Martin in self-defense.
