SOUTH LYON, Mich. (WXYZ) - Crews could be seen working to free a school bus from a ditch along Dixboro Road, near 9 Mile Road, in South Lyon on Friday afternoon.
An official for South Lyon Community Schools told 7 Action News that the bus inadvertently backed into the roadside ditch.
While there were middle school and high school students on the bus at the time, the district official said none were injured. They were put on another bus that met them at the scene.
A wrecker responded and could be seen working to free the school bus. Others worked to dig its tires free.
