WALLED LAKE, Mich. (WXYZ) - There are new questions about a teacher with porn on his computer inside Walled Lake Western High School last week.

It has been 8 days and district officials say they are still investigating.

We are getting a couple of different versions of how this happened - the school district's version and the students.

An email from the principal went to parents last week saying the teacher’s computer flashed a web browser history on a classroom screen that included a porn site.

But a mother who does not want to be identified says students are naming names. We found the website they say they saw open on the teacher’s computer.

We cannot show it on TV.

The district has a policy for employees that says accessing sexually explicit material is not allowed.

They have to sign it. But the penalty is only termination from the computer network.

School officials say porn in the classroom will not be tolerated.

7 Action News has confirmed the suspended teacher's name, but we're not using it. He is entitled to due process.

Even though this happened last week, school district officials say it is still under investigation and they may have a decision by the end of this week.

The District has released the following statement to 7 Action News:

We hold staff members to high standards of accountability. When allegations surface, we follow our policies and engage in providing appropriate due process prior to taking action for any individual in question. Individuals can make unsubstantiated statements, but the District has obligations to do a thorough investigation.

Immediately upon learning about this, Walled Lake Consolidated Schools put the employee on administrative leave. The District takes these kinds of allegations seriously. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior from any of our employees. Having adult website addresses on school computers is not tolerated in Walled Lake Schools.

Safety is a priority in Walled Lake Schools and we work collaboratively with each of our employee groups to ensure a safe learning environment for all. The staff member in question is no longer employed by Walled Lake Schools.
