WATERFORD, Mich. - Waterford Police and Fire Departments continue to investigate a critical injury accident that happened Sunday morning. The call came in at 9:15 a.m. for a single vehicle roll over injury accident on Airport Road near Highland Road.
A 35-year-old female from Waterford was seriously injured when her vehicle crossed the center line going off the road then rolled over before hitting a utility pole.
Rescue personnel had to use the jaws of life to get the driver out of her 2007 Ford Focus. She was then airlifted to an area hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt but airbags did not deploy.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor in the accident.
