WATERFORD, Mich. (WXYZ) - At 23 years old, Megan Parsons loves to have her nails done, loves to have her hair stroked, like any 20-something all-American girl, she loves Lady Gaga and boys.
Megan is like any other young woman, except she is dying from a rare illness called “Machado Joseph’s Disease”.
It’s a disease that is rapidly sucking the life right out of her .
”She’s just the most beautiful person I know”, said her older sister Melissa Yoerg.
Now with just weeks to live, Megan has just one wish, to be buried right next to her mother who died from the very same disease.
Last week, Bill Spencer first told you Megan’s story, that it would take $6,000 to make her wish come true. Right away, dozens of viewers contacted Bill to help.
But one man, who asked to remain anonymous, came through with something unexpected: one check for an enormous amount. Now we’re giving it to Megan’s family.
Knowing what this incredible gift will mean to Megan, her sister dissolved into tears.
“Oh my god she’s going to get her wish, she’s going to get what she wants at last,” Yoerg said. ”Thank you so much, god bless. Thanks Bill”, she said with tears in her eyes.
