Freighter almost hits seawall after losing power on St. Clair River

ST. CLAIR, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Coast Guard is investigating an incident involving a freighter on the St. Clair River.

Officials say the freighter lost power and drifted to within 10 feet of the seawall.

It happened on near the Pine River in St. Clair.

Paul Tennant sent video of the incident into Action News.

The Coast Guard says the ship was safely anchored. No injuries were reported.
