Several schools in Saline were placed on a brief lockdown after a robbery at the TCF Bank on Michigan Avenue.
According to Saline Public Schools, the lockdown was put in place as a precautionary measure.
The school lockdowns have been lifted.
The Saline Police Department received a 911 call Friday morning indicating that the TCF bank was held up.
Below are descriptions of the suspects that employees provided to police:
Suspect 1 - black male approximately 5’ 10” in height wearing facial covering and a dark hooded
sweatshirt.
Suspect 2 – unknown male approximately 5’ 10” in height wearing facial covering and a light hooded
sweatshirt.
An older model 4-door vehicle was reportedly used by the suspects. Officers found the vehicle nearby.
Employees say they did not see weapons.
The suspects got away with an undetermined amount of money. The Saline Police Department, Pittsfield Township Police Department, FBI and Michigan State Police are investigating.
