Ann Arbor, Mich.  (WXYZ) - The University of Michigan's official iPhone App had its beginnings as a class project for two students.

Kevin Chan and Mark Yang developed iWolverine for a Mobile and Web App Programming course in winter 2009. It included directory information, dining hall menus, and enabled users to track buses in real time. Information and Technology Services at U of M purchased iWolverine from the Kevin and Mark in March, 2010. It is now the school's official application and additional features have been added.

Upon graduation, Kevin and Mark accepted jobs at Qualcomm in San Diego.

The University of Michigan app is free and available in the iTunes store.
