YPSILANTI, Mich. (WXYZ) - Eastern Michigan University is warning students about a robbery that took place off campus early Friday morning.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Green Road.
A female EMU student told police that she was approached by two men in a parking lot. One of the men was carrying what appeared to be a hunting rifle.
Police say the men demanded that the woman give them everything she had before taking her wallet and phone.
They then ran off in an unknown direction.
The woman wasn't injured.
Police say the men are described as bald African Americans in their 20s. At the time of the robbery they were wearing plaid shirts.
If you have any information about the robbery, you're asked to contact police.
