(WXYZ) - Two more Red Cross volunteers from the Washtenaw County area are heading down south to help those in need as Tropical Storm Isaac aims for the gulf coast.
They will be deployed to Mississippi. Twenty five other volunteers from the Washtenaw County area have already been sent to places throughout Florida.
It’s likely some of them will move to Louisiana in the next few days.
The two volunteers leaving today are driving a Red Cross truck down to an area where relief is most needed. Once they get to their destination, they will be driving through neighborhoods and giving out food to storm victims.
Many who volunteer to help out during disasters say it is very rewarding to help others.
