DEXTER, Mich (WXYZ) - Trees snapping, pieces of fence flying through the air like tissue paper and a full size Webber grill bouncing across the lawn.
All minute by minute images of the tornado destruction captured on Jeremy and Tina Lasley's home security camera.
"We could have watched it live but I think it would have scared us even more, in fact at the time we forgot it was even there" said Jeremy as he gave 7 Action News an exclusive look at the video.
The Lasley's were home at 5:33pm, the exact time the National Weather Service says the F-3 tornado ripped through their Dexter subdivision Thursday afternoon.
"It sounded like a train was going through our neighborhood."
The couple took cover in their basement exercise room and waited out the storm. They say it lasted about 5 minutes, but it felt like a lifetime.
"I grew up in an area where tornados are prevalent, this is the worst I've experienced and I never want to again" said Jeremy.
Only, they can't stop watching it on video.
Thankfully, the Lasley's only suffered a couple broken windows, some missing garbage cans and a grill they still can't find.
