ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Ann Arbor Police and the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department say a standoff with a man ended peacefully after 12 hours.

The standoff had been going on all day long in the 3300 block of Burbank Avenue. Police say it began about 7:30 a.m.

The scene was at the Chapel Hill condos, which are located near Plymouth Road and US 23. Officers blocked off the entrance to the complex.

After hours of negotiations, the 42-year-old man was taken into police custody. He's being treated at an Ann Arbor hospital.
