ANN ARBOR (WXYZ) - A man who wanted to conceal his identity told 7 Action News he never imagined he would end up facing a stranger with a handgun drawn.

He said the suspect pointed the gun at him and demanded everything from him.  According to the victim, when the gunman opened up the victim’s wallet and saw only $7 dollars inside, he called the victim “broke” and took off.

Ann Arbor police say a man in his mid-20s, wearing a black hoodie and black ski-mask, has mugged people three times.

There are three reports of a man of this description robbing people between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.

The incidents happened in the 900 block of West Washington and also the 1100 block of Forest in Ann Arbor.

Each time he waved a gun. The suspect escaped with the victims’ wallets, phones and cash.

Ann Arbor police are reminding pedestrians and neighbors to be aware of their surroundings, walk with friends, and have their keys in hand before reaching their car.

This victim warns others to be alert, too.
