DETROIT (WXYZ) - Two men will face trial in a shooting incident that involved the two Hamtramck women who were later kidnapped and found dead.
Detroit District Court Judge Roberta Archer decided Thursday to send the attempted murder case against Brandon Cain and Brian Lee to Wayne County Circuit Court.
The alleged shooting happened on February 8.
Three weeks after the shooting police say the victims, Abreeya Brown and Ashley Conaway were forced into
a car trunk at gunpoint.
Their bodies were recently discovered in shallow graves in Detroit. The women had been bound and shot.
Cain and Lee haven't been charged in the abduction and killings, but they are charged with shooting at the women's car on February 8.
Defense attorneys say authorities lack credible evidence against their clients.
