Detroit (WXYZ) - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy is due back in court Friday, battling budget cuts to her office.
Worthy claims she is unable to fulfill her constitutional duties because of the cuts.
Last fall, Wayne County Commissioners approved a decreased of 31 million dollars. The cuts also caused 26 positions to be eliminated on March 15.
The cuts have forced prosecutors in Worthy's office to miss criminal traffic and misdemeanor dockets. That includes those involving personal protection orders.
