ROMULUS, Mich (WXYZ) - "I will not fly, I get assaulted by the TSA," saus Wendy Thomson.
The one-time Management Consultant has an artificial leg and metal in her knee. She says she was asked to take her pants off in Concourse A at Detroit Metro Airport.
Wendy used to fly up to 10 times a year for her job but has since retired over the treatment she says she receives during security screenings.
"We have 10 years of numbers to prove the TSA is misguided and inappropriate in its approach," Wendy now says about airport security.
Wendy is now part of a year old group called "Freedom to Travel USA."
Members from the group will be traveling to Washington DC this weekend to address the TSA, Aviation Security Advisory Council and Delegates Aides to get more information about what they call a flawed security system.
Wendy says she hasn't set foot on a plane since October 2010 and never plans to again.
She and another Michigan member of the group start their trip to DC by car tomorrow.
