Crews respond to large water main break in Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Mich. (WXYZ) - A large water main break is threatening to turn water cloudy and disturb traffic in Garden City today.

Garden City Police say a "significant" water main break took place this morning at the intersection of Marquette and Helen.

Police said repair crews were working on repairing the water main which would likely require them to shut off water service in the area.

They also warned that residents may see cloudy or brown water until the main is fixed, though a boil water alert was not yet issued.
