Customer shot during robbery at party store in Deaborn Heights

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police are investigating a robbery and shooting at a party store in Dearborn Heights.
It happened Tuesday in the area of W. Warren and Gulley.
Police say the thief shot a customer and got away with a large amount of cash, the store safe, lottery tickets, cigarettes and alcohol.
The customer was shot in the ankle and was taken to Botsford Hospital where he underwent surgery. He may have to undergo a second surgery on Friday.
