WESTLAND, Mich (wxyz) -  The families of two Westland teens found murdered in a Detroit field last Friday morning are trying to cope with the loss of their sons as they plan two separate funerals.

"You can't imagine how hollow you can feel knowing you will never hug your son again", said Carrie Bobbish as she talked about son Jourdan, 17, who was found dead along with his close friend Jake Kudla,18. Both teens had been shot in the back of the head.

The two families originally planned to have one funeral, but have now decided on two. Jake's service will be Saturday at Christ our Savior Church in Livonia at 11 AM and Jourdan's funeral will be on Friday at 11:30 AM at Morningstar Church on Dawson St. in Garden City, services will be open to the public.

Jourdan's mom, dad and grandmother talked with 7 Action News about their overwhelming sadness. They hope other parents will learn from this and keep an eye on their children's whereabouts even when they are older.

The details of the case are not yet known, but Jourdan's mom said whoever did this is evil. She said it is painful to know that even if someone is charged, they will still have three meals a day and a cot to sleep on while her son is no longer with them..

Jourdan's family also said they appreciate the outpouring of love and support from the community and beyond.  On Monday, the mayor of Westland sent out a message of sympathy to the family and asked people in Westland to pray for them.

The families have set up memorial funds for both boys at Fifth Third Bank, under each of their names, Jourdan Bobbish and Jake Kudla.
