Family seeks help for funeral costs for 20-year old Inkster woman shot to death in car

Inkster, Mich. (WXYZ) - The family of Jasmine Cook needs help to pay for the funeral for the 20-year old who was shot to death June 25 while sitting in a car in front of an abandoned home.

The "Jasmine Cook Benefit" has been established at TCF Bank. Donations can be made at any TCF Bank branch.

Inkster Police identified a Black Chevy Cobalt with tinted windows as a suspect vehicle.  No arrests have been made.

Three other people were in the car at the time of the shooting, including a young child. No one else was injured.

Visitation for Jasmine Cook will be held Thursday, July 5 from 1-7 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home in Westland.

The funeral service is set for Friday July 6 at 11 am at Shekinah Glory Ministries in Wayne, Michigan.
