(WXYZ) - The FBI has served Wayne County with another subpoena in the expanding federal probe in allegations of county corruption.  This latest subpoena is asking for information about money paid to an attorney with close ties to Turkia Mullin.

Attorney Sam Nouhan was one of only two members of the Wayne County Airport Authority Board who voted to keep Turkia Mullin on as CEO of Metro Airport.  Now the FBI is asking for records of any payments Nouhan has received from Wayne County.

7 Action News has learned federal agents served Wayne County with the latest subpoena late last week.  The subpoena asks for “all contracts, invoices, and payments, whether in paper or electronic form, relating to Bowman & Brooke LLP and/or Samuel Nouhan” from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2011.

Officials from Bowman & Brooke say Nouhan resigned from their law firm a year ago.  They also say they have not received a grand jury subpoena of their own.

The FBI is investigating Mullin and her role as the former Wayne County Economic Development Director.  Mullin was fired from the airport after less than two full months on the job after the 7 Action News Investigators exposed that she was given a secret $200,000 severance payout for voluntarily resigning from the county.

Mullin and Nouhan have worked together in the same Wayne County legal circles for years.  Nouhan was part of the 3 member search committee that hired Mullin as Airport CEO – even though she had no airport experience.

Wayne County officials have until March 7 th to turn over the records that have been requested by the federal grand jury that’s examining allegations of county corruption.

7 Action News Investigator Heather Catallo called Mr. Nouhan to get his reaction to this subpoena – but so far, he hasn’t called Action News back.  And official from his former law firm said because they haven’t even seen the subpoena, they can’t comment on it.
