INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) - Controversial former Inkster Judge Sylvia James could on her way back to the bench after winning the primary for the 22nd District Court.
James earned just over 25% of the vote in yesterday's primary election, easily beating her next closest competitor Sabrina Johnson, who won just shy of 20% of the vote.
The remaining vote was split between six other candidates.
James has been the subject of a 7 Action News investigation into how she ran her court.
That investigation led to her removal from the bench last month.
