All clear after lockdown at High School in Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Highland Park Renaissance Academy HS was placed on lockdown briefly after police responded to a situation behind the athletic field

Mayor Dandre Windom tells 7 Action News there was a family dispute where an older gentleman shot himself in the shoulder. His injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.

During the lockdown, signs could be seen on the building notifying the public that the building was on lockdown.
