HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Highland Park School Board member is trying to put the brakes on meetings that are scheduled to be held by the Financial Review Team looking into the crippled district.
Robert Davis says the team can’t reconvene because time allotted for their review has run out.
Governor Rick Snyder hoped the team would meet today and quickly make a recommendation to reinstate Emergency Manager Jack Martin.
Tuesday, the Governor had to tell Martin to “Stand Down,” because the process to appoint him had taken place behind closed doors.
Davis won that opinion in a Lansing courtroom, and is now on his way back to the same judge hoping he will disallow the public meetings.
So far there's no word if the judge will take the matter up.
