Home of Bashara’s alleged mistress searched

(WXYZ) - Investigators will be going over the boxes and bags of “stuff” taken from the upper flat and garage at the home on St. Clair Street in Grosse Pointe. That’s where Bob Bashara’s alleged mistress Rachel Gillett had been living. 

They searched the home for about three hours on Tuesday.

Neighbor Sara Kunz says "It was crazy. I have never seen so many police, you could barely get down the street". 

The Landlord at the house says they haven't seen much of Rachel since the murder of Jane Bashara. Rent for this month has not been paid. 

This all comes in the days after Joe Gentz was arrested and charged with the murder of Jane Bashara. He was also charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

7 Action News legal analyst Tom Cranmer says he believes they could have been looking for any evidence directly connected to the murder or to Jane in any way. Police may also be looking for evidence of a relationship between Rachel and Bob Bashara that could be used as a motive for murder.
