LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) - Thousands of twinkling Christmas lights synchronized to music. That’s how the Howse family does the holiday season.
“I’ve loved Christmas lights since I was very young,” said Ken Howse, whose family puts on the annual light show.
Howse, his sons and wife all work together to string up 40-thousand bulbs in their front yard. But it’s a lot more than just a show.
“It takes a couple of weeks to get them up. It also takes a while to get them down. You have to label everything. It’s a time consuming process,” said Connie House. “We do this for our love of Christmas and faith.”
All told there are more than 40-thousand bulbs lit up in their front yard. And the lights blink and flash in sync with music that is played on a radio station transmitted to their front yard.
The Howse’s sons maintain the computer program that controls the lights.
