SOUTHGATE, Mich., (WXYZ) - A Friday the 13th wedding almost ends in disaster when a creep crashes the party.
Newlyweds Christina and Kyle Schenavar had just said their “I do’s” earlier in the day and were celebrating at their reception in Southgate when the unthinkable happened.

At around 11 o’clock a man slipped in through the front doors at the Crystal Garden Banquet Hall. He made his way to the wishing well, which contained over $10,000.
As the guy started walking out of the building with the money two members of the bridal party saw him and confronted him. The would-be thief tried to escape but a bridesmaid was able scare him into dropping the cards.
Workers at the banquet hall cornered the man and held him for police. Officers later identified the suspect as 37-year-old Gary Adams, a man with a criminal past.
Adams is on probation for theft and now is facing a string of felonies.
Christina and Kyle say the party crasher didn’t ruin their wedding night – the party kept going after all of the excitement.
They’re off to Mexico to enjoy their honeymoon.
