Memorial service to be held for Wayne County Sheriff's reserve K9

(WXYZ) - A memorial service has been scheduled for a Wayne County Sheriff's Department reserve K9 who died last week. 

Nina died of a medical issue earlier this week. She first trained as a bomb sniffing dog in the wake of 9/11 after being given up by a family.

Nina was partnered with Stuart Rich, a (now) former Deputy Chief with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department's reserves.

The memorial will be held at The Sunrise Cafe/The Bake StationToo on Orchard Lake Road in Farmington Hills at 6:00 p.m. on October 23.
