Mother of missing Hamtramck woman pleads for her daughter's safe return

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Lois Brown says it's been twenty-two endless days and nights since her daughter Abreeya and Ashley Conaway were kidnapped and forced into the trunk of a car.

Lois says, "Lord, my heart stops every night at ten o'clock. I'm okay during the day but every night I die a little bit more."

Lois is pleading with anyone who has any information about what may have happened to the best friends to contact police or get in touch with her.

Police believe the young woman were targeted because they were going to testify against two men suspected in a the shooting of Conaway.

Brian Lee and Brandon Cain have been charged for the shooting but not for the kidnapping.

Police in Hamtramck are conducting the search for Abreeya and Ashley and are also asking the public for assistance.
