(WXYZ) - Slick road conditions caused dozens of accidents all over metro Detroit and forced many freeway closures Saturday.
Snow squalls that moved through the area made for very slick road conditions. Periodic snowfall could pose an issue through the evening. Use extreme caution on the roads.
HERE IS THE CURRENT LIST OF CLOSURES:
There are no current closures.
FREEWAYS REOPEN
*Westbound I-696 at Greenfield has reopened following an accident.
*The northbound lanes of the Southfield Freeway at Oakwood have reopened following a pileup. This accident involved more than 20 vehicles.
*Southbound Lodge has reopened at I-75 following an accident.
*Southbound I-75 was closed at West Road in the Woodhaven - Brownstown Township area. There were 20-30 spin-outs in that area. The freeway has reopened.
*Southbound I-75 at Dix Toledo has reopened.
*Northbound US-23 was closed at Plank Road in Milan due to accidents involving multiple vehicles, but has since reopened.
*Southbound I-75 at Mack was closed in Detroit due to an accident, but has reopened.
*I-94 at Rawsonville has reopened.
