DETROIT (WXYZ) - New Michigan laws ban explicit billboards and building signs including those outside strip clubs.

Public Acts 342 and 343 took effect on March 30 and limits signs to words, numbers and logos. Additionally logos must be registered as federal trademarks.

Pictures of scantily clad women will no longer be lawful and could mean a fine up to $10,000 for businesses owners who don’t comply.

A press conference was held Friday in front of The Penthouse Club at 20771 W. Eight Mile Road to announce the implementation of Public Acts 342 and 343.
