NORTHVILLE, MICH (WXYZ) - It won’t be long before the Christmas tree is up, the mantle decorated, and the house aglow with lights.  Want to try something different this year?

Visit the Northville Community Foundation’s Holiday Home Tour,  November 16 and 17 from 10a.m. to 4p.m. each day.

Five privately owned homes have been decorated with unique ideas for the holidays.  Need new ideas for your foyer, a twist on decorations for the tree, even ideas on table settings.  You will find it all at the Holiday Home Tour.

Homes range from a 1200 square foot, over 100 year old bungalow that is just so whimsical and charming everyone will want to see it.  Every room is a different story and once through is not enough. The second home is Contemporary with touches of antiques throughout.  The ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ bedrooms are adorable.  Custom, custom, custom, another must see!  Everything in this home is custom and the warmness and inviting nature makes you want to tour it a couple of times just to make sure you don’t miss anything.  A definite ‘must see’.  Want to see a home where every detail has been tended to?  We have that as well.  Each room is so meticulously decorated and adding the Christmas décor just makes it that much more stunning.  The lower level is a real SURPRISE!!!!   Not what you would expect!  There is also an absolutely charming home where every detail has be tended to and Christmas in this house is such a delight.

If you like Traditional, we have it; Mediterranean, we have it; Contemporary, its here.  There is something for everyone at this years Tour.

Proceeds from the Tour help with our “Baskets for Seniors” holiday program, scholarships for high school seniors, as well as a multitude of needs within the community.  Your attendance is so appreciated and helps many!!

Tickets are still just $20 per person (advance) and $25 at the door.  They can be purchased in Northville at Gardenviews, on Main Street, and the Chamber of Commerce, on Main Street.  If you would prefer to charge your tickets and have them mailed, please call the Foundation office at (248)374-0200, Monday through Thursday from 9:30a.m. to 4:30p.m.
