ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police say the driver of a car was killed in a crash that occurred during a police chase in Romulus.
Two police officers, another woman and her three-year-old son were also hurt in the crash. There's no word on their conditions.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of Inkster Road and Northline in Romulus.
Police say they were chasing a car that was headed southbound on Inkster Road when it rear ended the woman who was also driving southbound. The driver then lost control, crossed the center line and slammed into a northbound Romulus Police cruiser.
Police say the suspect, 42-year-old Adam Orlando-James Carlisle died at the scene.
Police say alcohol is a factor in the crash. No word yet on their condition, or why Carlisle was being chased.
