(WXYZ) - A police chase that began in Wayne County ended in a deadly shooting Tuesday morning.
Police were investigating an alleged car bombing in Northville Twp.
Police say they located the suspect's vehicle near 6 Mile and Napier and that's where a high-speed chase began.
The chase crossed over into Washtenaw County. It eventually ended when the suspect crashed into a Salem Twp. home near 6 Mile and Dixboro.
Police say that's where the suspect got out of his pickup truck and fled on foot. Police later located the man behind a barn in the area.
Police say he came at them with a knife, and that's when police fatally shot the man.
Police say the the suspect may also be linked to several house fires over the past 24 to 36 hours in the Northville area.
