Police look for suspects in attempted armored vehicle robbery

(WXYZ) - Melvindale Police are investigating an attempted robbery of an armored truck.
It occurred during a cash pickup at the Metro Mart located at Oakwood and Dix shortly before 9 a.m
Police say two males wearing ski masks attempted to rob the truck but were turned away.
The crew of the armored truck chased the suspects, last seen on westbound Michigan Avenue near Schaefer.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black Chevy Impala with the possible MI license plate #BDQ 0923. The plate may be stolen according to police.
