Police search for man who shot at undercover officer outside Detroit gas station

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find two men who shot at an undercover Sheriff's officer.

It happened at the Marathon Gas Station at 7 Mile and Ferguson in Detroit.

Police say the men were in an older model Grand Marquis at around 2:00 p.m. The officer was standing outside the gas station when the car approached him and, officer say, the man in the passenger seat opened fire.

The Sheriff's officer was not hit.
