Redford police are searching for an armed robber who is terrorizing customers and clerks.
At 4AM on Tuesday, July 3rd, police say a suspect armed with a gun robbed the 7-11 at Schoolcraft and Inkster in Redford.
He ordered the customer to the ground and then demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect is seen on surveillance video emptying the cash from the register drawer while pointing the gun at the clerk and customer.
The suspect shoved about $120 into his pockets and ran off to a waiting car across the street.
Fortunately, the clerk and customer weren't hurt.
"They did what they were told to do and they weren't hurt. That's all we can hope for," says Det. Sgt. Kevin Crittenden of Redford Police.
Fifteen minutes after robbing the Redford 7-11, police in Livonia believe that suspect committed the same crime at a 7-11 near Middlebelt and Ann Arbor Trail.
He's described as 18 to 21 years-old. 5'8" to 6'1". It's believed he has an ear piercing and tattoos on his forearms.
If you have recognize the suspect, please call Redford Police right away.
