Residents in Palmer Woods are still cleaning up the damage one day after storms blew through their neighborhood.
The winds uprooted massive trees and the damage is keeping tree trimmers like Peter Hicks very busy.
"We're used to it. It's not the first time. We'll get on top of it," says Hicks.
He spent a lot of time dealing with a 120 to 150 year-old oak tree that was uprooted near Woodward and 7 mile.
"If it went the other way, it would have taken out the house," he says.
Elizabeth Wardford says most of the damage in her yard was done Wednesday night. She is still cleaning up.
"We’re getting the sticks up, getting up all the debris so we can go back to our living," says Wardsford.
