DETROIT(WXYZ) - Police say a security guard was stabbed in the neck and killed outside a Detroit nightclub, early Sunday morning.
It happened at Pandemonium nightclub, located on Congress in downtown Detroit.
Lou Ferrin, 40, was set to be married and had a new grandchild on the way, according to his brother Mark Ferrin.
“I think it’s totally ridiculous,” said Ferrin. “It just doesn’t make any sense.”
His brother describes Lou as a hard worker. Mark says Lou's security position was a second job, he also worked in the steel industry.
Lou leaves behind three children.
“I guess the girls would call him a teddy bear,” said Mark Ferrin. “He was just like... a gentle giant.
There is no word on any arrests in the stabbing.
Another security guard was killed at the nightclub in June, when he was shot outside the club.
That guard was also a Detroit 300 volunteer.
