GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Sources tell 7 Action News a man has admitted to playing a significant role in the murder of Jane Bashara.
The man is being identified as Joesph Gentz. He is being viewed as an accomplice and has been arrested. We are being told that he walked into the Grosse Pointe Police Department around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Gentz reportedly told police Jane Bashara was killed in her garage.
Jane Bashara was found murdered in her Mercedes-Benz SUV last week on Detroit's east side. It was determined that she had been strangled.

Bob Bashara, Jane's husband, is considered a person of interest in the case. He has reportedly told police that he talked to his wife on the phone on the night that she disappeared.
Sources are telling 7 Action News that Bob Bashara's cell phone records prove that that is not the case.
The investigation into her death is beginning to unfold according to Grosse Pointe Park police.
Her husband, Bob Bashara, told police that he reported his wife missing last Tuesday night around 11:30 p.m. and says he had no contact with her that night.
However, sources tell Action News that investigators believe Bashara did have contact with his wife Jane that night. Bob Bashara is being called a "person of interest" in his wife's murder case. Bob Bashara had taken a polygraph test, but sources close to the investigation tell Action News he failed.
A number of strange new developments have also emerged in the investigation. Jane Bashara's purse and its contents were strewn about on the passenger side floor, the keys to the Mercedes were on the driver’s side floor and there was “a prescription bottle” on the passenger seat.
A couple of Jane Bashara’s finger nails were broken.
