Southbound Telegraph reopens after serious accident

TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Southbound Telegraph has reopened following a serious accident involving three cars.

Taylor Police say a 33-year-old Taylor man is in serious condition at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn after juries he sustained after the chain-reaction crash on Telegraph Road at about 3:30 p.m. The man is in serious condition and his name is not being released at this time.

The man was driving northbound on Telegraph when according to a 9-year-old passenger the man stated he wasn’t feeling well.  The man, who was driving a pick-up truck, struck the car in front on him causing that vehicle to cross the median and drive head-on into southbound traffic.  In all, three vehicles were involved.

The boy and drivers of the other two vehicles are being treated for minor injuries.

Taylor Police shut down both potions of Telegraph Road while traffic re-constructionists investigated the scene.
