POLICE: Two die in mobile home fire

WESTLAND, Mich., (WXYZ) - Westland Police report two victims have died in a fire at Westland Meadows Mobile Home Park.
They say one male and one female adult died in the fire broke that out around 3:30 a.m. in the mobile home park in Westland. It is located on Butternut, east of Merriman and north of VanBorn.
Terri Abeare is a neighbor and friend of the victims. "This shows how quick it can happen. It went up like a torch."
Police are not releasing the identity of the victims at this time. Neighbors say they were married and in their mid-fifties.
 Careless smoking is the suspected cause. Investigators say the couple made no attempt to escape the flames.
The mobile home was destroyed. Authorities are attempting to locate their relatives.
