Wayne County foreclosure forum today

(WXYZ) - Wayne County homeowners that are struggling to pay their property taxes will want to check out an event in Detroit today.

The County Treasurer’s office is hosting “Let’s Work Together”—a forum to help residents learn about their options before they lose their homes to foreclosure.

The event is being held today from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Plymouth United Church of Christ at 600 East Warren in Detroit.

This year a record 42,000 properties in Wayne County are facing foreclosure, with more than 85% of those in the city of Detroit.
